Dj Harvell

 I started my dj journey about 12-13 years ago when asked to fill in for a dj i knew at a gig because he booked it before knowing he would be out of town. I jumped at the opportunity and became focused on learning all I could about the music, the equipment, and talents that can only be gained by experience. These talents are what separates a good dj from a great dj, I learned to listen to what my clients wanted, I learned that a little planning went along way, I learned how to read my crowd to see who's moving to what songs and adapt the playlist as needed to keep toes tapping and body's moving.  Fast forward a few years and many nights working solo and with other area dj's and I'm the house dj for a local night club it was here I really honed reading the crowd and my playlist to keep the dance floor packed because lets face it know one goes to a club to sit it out. While here I had a close friend that had got into weddings and needed someone to take the couples when he was already booked. I did my first wedding and was a nervous wreck but it went off without a hitch and I've never looked back.

   My philosophy is simple provide my couples with the night they deserve and the memories they want. I pride myself on the details and communication when it comes to weddings. Planning is they key as I stated before to everything. There is nothing worse for a bride and groom than something going wrong on your special day. I have a host of planning tools and the experience to use them to make sure that I pull your day off without a hitch, I'll ask the questions you forget to, and I will make sure to respond to your calls, texts, and emails the same day.

   Once your big day gets here I'll deliver the experience your looking for every time. I make it a point be punctual as a dj setting up while your guest are arriving is something no one wants to see. I make it a point to be personable and approachable for all your guest and fellow vendors you've hired. For your ceremony TIMING is everything so we will have already discussed when you want the music cues to change and what songs you want when. During cocktail and dinner hours I provide the right volume and type of music so as not to overpower any conversation but still keep it lively enough that your guest toes are tapping in there seats. By the time your introductions happen I'll have said your wedding parties names 100's of time just to make sure I get them right. Now for the reception the best party of your life you can rest assure that I will incorporate your request while making sure to blend in the party hits that keep the bodies moving.
